Rodent & Pest Control

About this site

Most pest-control advice online is either a scare-then-sell funnel for a national exterminator or an affiliate listicle that recommends whatever pays best. This site is neither. It exists to answer one question honestly: what actually gets rid of the pest you have, and what is a waste of money.

The rating is a real judgment. When a product does not work - and a lot of the popular ones do not, from ultrasonic repellers to peppermint oil to mothballs - we say so and show the research. When something does work, we tell you how to use it right, because most trap failures are placement and bait, not the trap. And we always cover the part the product pages skip: sealing the pest out so it does not come back.

How we work

Verdicts, not vibes

Every product gets a plain green, orange, or red rating based on whether it solves the problem. We pan gimmicks freely, including ones with generous affiliate programs.

Safety is sourced

Anything about a poison, a pesticide restriction, or a disease risk is cited to the EPA, NPIC, CDC, or a university extension - never a product page, never guesswork.

No hardcoded prices

Prices move, so we describe tiers instead of quoting a number that will be wrong next month. We tell you what to look for, not a figure to trust blindly.

Prevention over products

Traps and bait treat the symptom. Sealing entry points and cutting off food and water is what actually keeps pests out, so every guide ends there.

A note on affiliate links

Some pages link to products through affiliate programs, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. It is disclosed on the page where it happens, and it never changes a rating. We would rather send you to the right cheap trap than the wrong expensive one.
